Obama to Take Power and Rule on Day 1

And so it begins ...

Now that Obama has been chosen to 'take power' it is time to change my tone. As much as I feel that he is the better man with respect to McCain, I am convinced that he is equally the crook and he will do everything in his power to make sure that his friends, and of course himself, will be far better off after his term(s) than before.

With that said ... Recently, Tom Brokaw had the privilege of interviewing the co-chair of Barack Obama's transition team, Valerie Jarrett. It seems that many people are a bit upset about her choice of words. Take a look:

Obama will have to 'Take Power' and 'Rule' on Day 1. Poor choice of words to say the least, but as far as I'm concerned, not that big a deal in and of itself. It is, however, important to take into account the tone used by Obama and his team throughout the campaign. There has always been a sense of 'Holier than Though'. These latest comments don't do much to quell that feeling.

As with all presidents, coaches and speechwriters will ensure that these slipups happen less and less ... we all remember Bushisms before the 2000 election. The important thing to note is that this is the tone set before the election and immediately following, leaving a sense of arrogance about Obama that, in my opinion, is likely burnt deep into his soul.
